Did a piece with Dash and Pore. Been chill'n with Poise and the TFC/DCA gangstaz. Went to Obese Records and This Is It. Met up with Jolanus and worked on website, also spoke with a hologram of DJPee.
Been jammin with some worldclass Bgirls. Lookin forward to tomorrows comp.
Hookin up with the Holy Roller HipHop headz on Sunday.
Well just arrived back in Sydney town, what a full on trip!
Highlights:
Thurs went to Obese and This is It. Spoke to Jase about mastering and possible neo-soul record label action.
Friday rocked a burner at St Kilda with my crew members Dash and Pore. Hung out with Poise as well.
Saturday hosted She Got Game. Killer day, the bgirls rocked it! Live band played for the final battles, the Bamboos covered all the original funk breaks. Brass section and incredible musos, worth checkin if you ever see them advertised. I reckon the funkiest band in Australia by far.
That night went to after party and hung out with all the breakers, my TFC buddy Thef, as well as MC Q, Prowler, Duel, Jors and heaps of others.
Sunday went to Church with Jolane and Simon the Sex Symbol, had luch with them and then went to an event called Gospel Sundays. Its a cafe with a gospel/soul band with 2 guys and a girl doing vocals. Tight as, and well worth going to. Spoke with the guys and told them about us at KW.
Sunday night Krosswerdz get together. 12 of us at JPegs warehouse. Kicked it for a while about crapola then discussed the KW plans for the future. Had curry, had a rhyme. 'Johnny Rama fo yo mama' and Phenominal kicked some killers, then Phenom delivered a jam packed dope freestyle. Near midnight we started piecing on a wall in JPegs joint. 4 of us rocked characters and Johnnys boy Josh ran a muck with weapons of graff destruction. The culmination of a dope trip.
