Ghost Town....

October 21, 2009 by son-of-thunda

Where is everybody? IDM used to be full of life and energy. Everytime I come on here, i'm the only person online, and there has only been one post other than my three since I've been a member....

What's up with that?

R.I.P. Enock

Juan James aka Enock of The Cross Movement passed away on the 17th due to a heart attack. Such a talented Emcee with an amazing ministry! You were too young to go home E! You will be missed my brother!!

Please keep his family in prayer during this time of hardship. Also if you could spare some thought for Sev Statik and Cruz Cordero as they are grieving over the news too..

Re: INTRODUCE YOURSELF!!

October 17, 2009 by son-of-thunda

I finally made it..... Why didn't I know this place exsisted?

Name: Jonathan Broom aka Jonny B
Alias: Son Of Thunda
Age: 27/02/1983, do the math..
Born: Hitchin, United Kingdom
Live: Carindale, Queensland (soon to be Morningside)
Story: It all started on a cold winters night.....nah just kiddin. When I moved to Terra Australis in 1988 it took a couple more years before I had my first taste of Hip Hop music, and I've gotta be honest, it wasn't a great one (MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This), but I knew there was something in it for me!
As a dedicated listener of Hip Hop, I worked my way through the history of the Art and also the Culture. She was my first love straight up, long before I met God, My amazing wife Rachael and my precious little daughter Rebekah. Hip Hop has played such a major part in my life, so much that it was hard to let go of when God needed me too in order to grow. In 1996 I started up a crew with my best friend Michael (aka Digga), called Spiritual Souljazz. We performed at many local events that were put together by an organisation called Up Surge, plus various others. Did a few big shows too, I'm not 100% sure, but I think our last gig together was at Groundswell 2000. Shortly after that I moved to Sydney to sort myself out, where I also began writing and performing as a solo artist, and with a mate called Nebs. We recorded a couple of demo tracks together but then I moved to Brisbane and that was the end of that. Since I've been here, I recorded a track called "Days Of Our Lives" for an album called 'My Love, My Life, My Lord' by Andrew Stone. That is the last track I have recorded, and since then the only thing I have completed as far as writing is concerned are my vows to my wife! I've had writers block for a little while now, so I've been dabbling in the Arts, Fashion and Beat Production... I'm praying for direction and that God might give my voice back!
